What is NDIS Mental Health

Mental health is an important issue that affects the lives of many people. This can be short-term like feeling down for a few days to more chronic with lasting effects on personality and psychotic or compulsive disorders.

Psychosocial disability is the term used to describe disabilities that may arise from mental health issues. Individuals who have a psychosocial disability can experience severe effects and social disadvantage.

Fortunately the NDIS supports individuals with long-term disability resulting from a mental health condition. The program aims to increase participants’ independence and enable them to participate in community and working life.

Here at ANC we’re fully registered to provide mental health services under the NDIS. Our experienced psychosocial recovery coaches are passionate about helping individuals live a full and contributing life.

The recovery coach will work with participants, their families and carers to design and implement an individualised recovery plan. The goal is that this collaborative process helps individuals better manage the complex challenges of day-to-day living, and ultimately enables them to be healthy members of society.

Mental health is integral to living a healthy and balanced life. It affects how we go about our daily activities and how we cope with stress and relate to others.

Individuals who suffer from a psychosocial disability need an enhanced approach to care and an established support network to look after their everyday needs.

Here at ANC we specialise in providing NDIS Mental Health services. Our experienced psychosocial recovery coaches will work with individuals and their families to design a personalised plan to help them live an independent fulfilling life.
